Story from practice SONNENTOR

Visitors discover how tea is made.

At SONNENTOR in Čejkovice, a visitor route runs directly above production. Three screens built into an interactive machine model explain how herbs are processed: visitors press a button to start an animation of a chosen step. Ki-Wi Signage connects digital content with the discovery of a real working environment.

01Situation

From herbs to a cup of tea.

The visitor route follows the journey of herbs from growers to the finished product. Windows into production reveal the real operation; animations help explain the individual production steps.

02Solution

Press a button. See a production step.

Three portrait displays are built directly into the machine model. Buttons for cutting, dust removal and mixing start animations of the individual stages in herb processing. Ki-Wi Signage manages the visual content of the exhibit and the projections along the route.

  1. Choose a step

    What happens to the herbs?

  2. Press a button

The visitor starts the chosen content.

  3. See the explanation

    An animation explains the process.

The interactive model is one stop along the visitor route. Real herbs, views into production and projected stories connect the digital explanations with the surroundings visitors explore.
